Current mood: bouncy

Plans underway.
17/07: CHC -> AKL -> LAX
30/07: LAX -> DFW -> LEX
18/08: IND -> ORD -> SEA
25/08: SEA -> AKL -> CHC

Dates and exact itinerary are tentative at this point, but that's looking like five weeks of my life and a fair chunk of (budgeted for) savings. Should be fun :-)

All going well :-) Sadly no NorCal on this trip, though. I do intend to at least revisit the Bay Area one of these days...

Yes...come to NorCal. We're much cooler than the other end of the state. :)

I recognize Dallas, Chicago, Seattle and Los Angeles... wow, that's a lot of traveling.

Almost. :) Christchurch to Auckland to LAX. Then to Dallas/Ft. Worth to Lexington (ME! *bounces*). Indianapolis to...Orlando maybe?...to Seattle. Then back to Auckland & Christchurch.

Ahh, that would explain the airport codes I didn't know. Should've guessed, though; boy's gotta leave Christchurch first to get anywhere else. :)

ORD is O'Hare International in Chicago. I don't know why it gets that code, either :-)

Indeed. I figure the tricky/expensive bit is the trans-Pacific flight, so I may as well make the most of my time over there. I'm finally going to GenCon, amongst other things :-)

I've got a pretty hard limit when it comes to handcuffs, but dinner sounds fine.

Hrm. I'd hope such issues would be sorted out by July, but certainly something to keep an eye on. Thanks.

Well, it was all airlines that fly those planes, American just has the most, so got the most noise... Alaska Air cancled 9 flights that day. I was flying home from Portland that day and was glad none of my flights were borked. Yet, I would rather my flight be cancled then my plane fall out of the sky in a big explosion...

Have a great time! Looking forward to hearing all about it :)

*hugs*

Sadly no. I'm probably already pushing the amount of time I'm spending away from work as it is, so visiting the east coast will have to wait for another year.

Whee! That's a pretty wild US itinerary. What's your actual destination.

Think of me when in my hometown of SEA. Or at least my hometown airport if you don't go into the city. :)

Destinations are L.A. (well, staying in Pasadena), Lexington (well, staying in Versailles), Indianapolis (GenCon) and Seattle (probably staying near UW).

Will do :-)
